Titan are supporting our key Client Partner in recruiting for position of Finance Assistant based at their North Lanarkshire premises. The purpose of the role is to support the Finance Team with providing an efficient and accurate accounting function to the business while contributing fully to the achievement of key business objectives.
·Checking of employee expenses.
·Supplier statement reconciliations.
·Investigation of unnecessary expenditure.
·Assisting with purchase ledger invoice processing.
·Assisting with processing sales ledger transactions.
·Processing journal entries.
·Analysis of nominal ledger accounts.
·To ensure that all filing is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
Scope of Role
·Required to have a broad understanding of the various activities of the business in order to identify both incorrect allocation of costs and unnecessary expenditure.
·Ability to use own judgement on the appropriate allocation of costs and revenue but also to seek guidance when necessary.
·Will be required to cover different areas of finance department for holiday cover etc.
·2 years+ experience in a finance assistant role.
·Knowledge of VAT essential.
·Excellent organisational skills.
·Excellent oral and written communication skills.
·Ability to work efficiently and effectively independently and as part of a team.
·Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
·Ability to complete work methodically and accurately following company procedures.
·Experience in SAP would be advantageous.
